Chandur Forest, Arambagh: Located on the banks of the Dwarakeswar River, in Arambagh, thick forest surrounds the place from all sides. Chupir Bil: Chupir Bil is a small pond located in Purbasthali in Bardhaman district of West Bengal. Chupir Bil or Chupir Char as it is known by many local people is a bird watcher’s paradise. It is a fantastic place for a day’s visit and indulging in picnic. The best time is of course the winter season when you will be able to spot many birds local as well as migratory in the area. The Great Crested Grebe was spotted at Chupir Bil a few days back. Boating facility is also provided there.

Malancha: Located in Rasulpur in Bardhaman, Malancha has become a famous holiday picnic spot for the local residents as well as for people traveling from other parts of Bengal. It is a nature park which offers blissful ambiance to the picnickers amidst lush greenery. The park covers an area of 45 acres and can be reached easily from Kolkata through the highway with a 1.5 hours drive.
